They do extreme things to maintain her weight. There are two eating disorders, anorexia and bulimia nervosa.
Although not known for certain, there are various theories explaining the cause of the disorder. One theory is that the cause is due to a teenage girl was very distressed by the "obligation" to appear slim, as appear by television and magazines. The theory showed compromise on part brain functions relating to body image.
what is Anorexia?
Anorexia is a disease that to this day it is difficult to understand and still be a puzzle for health professional. Some mention that anorexia is caused malfunction of the hypothalamus gland in the brain, which is responsible for managing appetite, the desire to eat, sexual desire and menstruation.
Cases of anorexia may begin with the tight diet because many people who have anorexia formerly overweight. They are getting motivated to lose weight due to the success of the previous diet. There are some of psychologically factors which can cause someone become anorexia First, the inability of a person adapt the change going on around him, like a breakup, death of parents, and other traumatic experiences. The point is all the manifestation of feeling confused, disappointed or sad.
Another cause of anorexia is a crisis of perception of one's body image. Not all teenagers can accept changes in their bodies as a natural thing. People with anorexia usually will experience breast growth retardation or delayed menstruation, so that their faces look younger than actual age. In addition, feeling rejected or abandoned the family also be a trigger factor of anorexia cases. Someone who comes from disharmonious families often tend to blame and punish themselves by refusing to eat and starve. Sadly, they do not realize that their body condition.
Patients considered herself not attractive, unhealthy and undesirable. People with anorexia tend to can become dehydrated and often unconscious. The disorder is also trigger sudden death due to abnormal heart rhythm.
Anorexia Symptoms usually occur because of increased attention to excess in food and weight. Even though people with anorexia already thin but keep feel fat, has always denied that she had thin, excessive exercising to control weight, not complaining even the appetite and weight loss.

The signs people who suffer anorexia were as following:
  1. Refuses to maintain normal body weight and tended to always like to be thinner.
  2. Always fear the weight will be increase despite the fact she had lost weight steadily.
  3. Stop menstruating three months in a row or more but do not pregnant.

Bulimia is a disease characterized by excessive eating, and then spat it out to keep weight gain is not increase. People with bulimia usually have a stable body weight or ideal. Even though have a big appetite and uncontrolled people with bulimia trying to lose weight. Whether it's by using laxatives, or brings back the every food be eaten. Every meal, they will feel guilty and depressed so in various ways trying to remove back all which has eaten. The main cause of bulimia was do not sense satisfied with own body shape and the inability to control food intake. In addition, low self-esteem and inability to cope with stress is also known as the ringleader bulimia. Even though they usually knew that having the eating patterns that is not normal, they do not attempt to handle this. No wonder bulimia causes a serious disturbance for the sufferer. Spewing out food repetitively can cause skin irritation around the mouth due to frequent contact with the substance of stomach acid, the tooth enamel decay, cavities, and prolonged abdominal pain. Other effects were heart palpitations, dehydration, kidney damage, decreased muscle cells in the body, until the sudden death. Excessive use of laxatives can also cause diarrhea. People with bulimia may depend on laxatives, so they cannot defecate naturally without the help of laxative drugs.
